Chicago, IL: (Jun-20-07) The family of Robert Pauly, a 73-year-old man who died while sedated at a dentist's office, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Dr. James Morrone and Glen Ellyn Family Dental Clinic in 2004. Pauly died in the dental chair at Glen Ellyn Family Dental Clinic in June 2004 after going in to have his tooth pulled. The suit claimed that he began having trouble breathing after being sedated. He stopped breathing, and paramedics could not revive him. The lawsuit filed alleged that Dr. James Morrone failed to properly monitor his vital signs. In a settlement reached, Morrone and his firm agreed to pay $900,000 and Glen Ellyn Family Dental Clinic will pay $235,000 to resolve the lawsuit. [NBC NEWS: PATIENT DEATH]
