A class action lawsuit has been filed against the computer company alleging certain models of Inspiron notebook computers are defective and cause complete system failures. The class action was filed in Ontario Superior Court on behalf of Canadian consumers claiming design defects make the computers susceptible to overheating and premature failure of the motherboard. The lawsuit also alleges Dell knew or ought to have known of the inherent defects in the notebooks' design but nevertheless sold, marketed, and distributed the notebooks in Canada.
