Cuomo and DiNapoli Strip NY Lawyers Pension Credits
A Summons and Complaint has been filed against Andrew Cuomo, Attorney General and Thomas DiNapoli, Comptroller, with the goal of preventing them from taking pension credits from lawyers who they claim don't deserve them.
The suit would affect lawyers that work for government entities and have enrolled in the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System (ERS). NiDapoli has stripped retirement credits from about a dozen lawyers so far, claiming they were not employees, but rather independent contractors.
