Crest Pro-health Associated with Brown Stains on Teeth

Brown stains on teeth around the gum lines associated with the use of Crest Pro-Health mouthwash have been reported in the media and may be difficult to remove. This week Proctor & Gamble, the makers of Crest Pro-Health mouthwash, were cited as the defendants in a lawsuit over brown dental stains.

While information on the Proctor & Gamble website for Crest Pro-Health products states that brown stains could indicate that the product is working, and the stains are not harmful to a person's health, the lawsuit against the company is claiming the cost of dental bills incurred in an effort to have the stains removed.

I purchased Crest Pro-Health Clinical oral rinse. Used it a few days (once a day) and discovered it was causing me pain with a burning sensation in my mouth/tongue, white spots/patches on my gums, lost sense of taste, couldn't eat and more. I'm furious that this is on the market and has ruined me. It states on the bottle that it promotes healthy teeth and gums, actually it is the opposite. Legal damages should be pursued, and this product should be removed from the market. No one should have to go thru this torment. My mother always told me to take care of my teeth because you only have one set. How dare P&G tamper with others oral health and well-being!

9-24-2021 product still on market and still staining teeth. Called them after dental visit to remove brown stains that appeared within a few months of having teeth cleaned. Asked what kind i used and showed me article about staining. Called Crest and they said at least it's working, since when does someone want fresh breath and brown teeth... Shame on them.

My daughter, Hailey, had been using this product for over a year. Her teeth progressively became discolored and the entire inside her teeth were brown. She just came back from the dentist today after a very painful cleaning to remove the stains due to this product. This product should no longer be sold!

I just purchased today 9/11/19 Crest Pro Health Clinical Rinse to help strengthen my teeth and have healthy gums. When I used it the first time, it burned so bad I could not keep it in my mouth for the 30 seconds that the directions instructed. I supposed this product was just on the strong side. Later on after I ate I went to brush, floss, and rinse. I put a small amount of the Crest Pro Health Clinical Rinse into a cup and poured it into my mouth then started to swish. My mouth burned so bad! I immediately spit it out, then I got painful blisters on the inside of my mouth! They burn so bad along with my tongue! I am in agony. I looked up this product and found so many others who had the same problem! This is insane and reckless. I am so upset! This is the white rinse, not the blue mouthwash that stains the teeth. What can I do? I feel Proctor & Gamble should be sued for this! And possibly CVS for selling it! Some people who reviewed and complained about this product lost their sense of taste for goodness sake. I was looking for a product in the store to help me with my teeth and gums I thought Crest Pro Health Clinical Rinse would be a safe product and I thought wrong! And being a Crest product? I am really shocked! I took pictures.

I am furious that this mouthwash is still on the market. My beautiful teeth look absolutely terrible after just two weeks. Now that I know why, I have poured this mouth wash down the sink and I can only pray that my teeth come back to me.

Have used Crest Pro Health mouthwash for 1 week and noticed tongue feels chemically burned on end, and have lost sense of taste. Have stopped using it.

I started using this mouthwash a lot recently, and ever since then, I've noticed (and so have others) that I've started getting stains on my teeth - brown stains on my top teeth and dingy yellow on my bottom teeth close to the gums. I brush and floss my teeth everyday, and none of it helps with the staining.
