Blue Cross Blue Shield refuses to insure autistic children

Chris Johns has filed a lawsuit seeking class action status, claiming Blue Cross Blue Shield has refused insurance coverage for austic children.

Blue Cross Blue Shield claims that the care for autistic children is experimental, even though such care is provided by such prestigious facilities as the Beaumont Hospital.

A motion to certify the class will be heard on August 21, 2008.
