Two lawsuits have been filed and are seeking class action status against the orthopedic products maker for allegedly violating antitrust laws. In June, 2006 the Justice Department requested Biomet documents from January 1, 2001, to the present. The subpoena was delivered to Biomet, DePuy, Stryker Corp. and Zimmer Holdings for possible antitrust violations.
