Apple

A federal class action lawsuit was filed in US District Court in San Jose, CA against computer giant Apple. The lawsuit claims the computer maker deceptively marketed its new iMac by grossly inflating the capabilities of its 20 inch iMac monitor. The lawsuit claims Apple deceived consumers by hiding the fact that the new 20 inch iMac monitors are inferior to previous generations, and aren't capable of displaying the "millions of colors" as claimed in its advertising.

The lawsuit further claims that Apple's 20 inch iMac monitors are only capable of a maximum 262,144 colors and feature the least expensive technology for liquid crystal displays. This translates into a narrower viewing angle, less color depth, less color accuracy and the viewing screen is more susceptible to washout across the display.
