150 number of product liability claim lawsuits filed (news-press.com, 5/11/09)

2 million dollars: the amount requested as emergency funding for the Consumer Product Safety Commission to conduct tests on the imported Chinese drywall (PalmBeachPost.com, 5/22/09); The request was declined by US Senators at this time, however the CPSC was directed to use money from its current budget to fund the investigation;  

2 number of countries currently reporting issues with Chinese drywall—the US and Bahamas (Sarasota Herald Tribune, 6/4/09)
