Three Men File Wrong Termination Lawsuits Against Wal-Mart

. By
Charleston, WVThree separate wrongful termination lawsuits have been filed against Wal-Mart Stores East by three former assistant managers.

The wrongful termination claims date back to late last December, when a man identified as John Doe entered the South Ridge Wal-Mart in Charleston, West Virginia, reports the West Virginia Record.

According to the lawsuits, Doe took a pair of box cutters and began opening boxes in an apparent attempt to steal electronics. The three plaintiffs, Thomas Olson, Martin W. Ellis and Thomas A. Stewart, approached Doe, and Olson told him not to make any threatening moves.

Ignoring Olson's request, Doe made a move towards the man. Olson than restrained Doe's arms in accordance with Wal-Mart policy, says the lawsuits.

In mid-January of this year the three men were fired from their positions in what the lawsuits describes as an act of wrongful termination.

The three are seeking back pay and compensation for loss of benefits. In addition, they want to be reinstated to their positions or to receive front pay in lieu of that option.

Would like to discuss with your office a wrongful termination of my 19 years of employment with Wal-Mart. I was out on disability due to a stroke I had suffered and one month ago my doctor release me and Wal-Mart has refuse to assign me my position back or to place me back on staff. That is after 19 years of employment
