| Denture Creams Linked to Health Problems |

Wilmington, NC: People who regularly use denture cream, including Fixodent, PoliGrip and Super PoliGrip adhesives might be surprised to learn that the products have been linked to a risk of health problems including neurological issues. In fact, a study published in the journal Neurology, in 2008, has found a link between overuse of denture creams and a risk of zinc toxicity. That has prompted lawsuits against the makers of denture creams, alleging consumers should have been warned about the risks of these products.

If Attorney and former Navy lawyer Dean Swartz gets what he wants for his client Colonel Adele Connell, Swartz will have succeeded in shutting down a 59-year-old law known as the Feres Doctrine that makes it almost impossible for military personnel to sue for medical malpractice . “I never knew just how unfair this law was until I got on the other side of the issue," says Swartz.

| 14-Year Old Girl Survives Indian Ocean Crash |

Paris, FR: Earlier reports of a 5-year-old boy surviving the plane crash involving an Airbus A310-300 en route from Yemen to the African Island nation of Comoros, have been corrected. Officials now report that the survivor is a 14-year-old girl, Bahia Bariki. The girl, a citizen of both Comoros and France, was traveling to the city of Moroni, the capital of Comoros, for her summer holiday.

| Train Explosion in Italy Kills 12 |

Pisa, Italy: A gas explosion on a freight train in western Italy late Monday has claimed the life of a child and at least 11 others, officials close to the scene have said in a report carried today by CNN. The number of injured in what has been described as a horrific train crash has risen to 36, with 16 in critical condition.

| What Caused 7-Year-Old Parking Garage in Atlanta to Collapse? |

Atlanta, GA: A multi-level parking garage no more than 7 years old has collapsed in Atlanta, destroying numerous vehicles. So far, officials on the scene combing through the debris have not found any bodies or survivors. There have been no reports of missing persons thus far in the building collapse, according to reports from the Associated Press (AP).

| Boy, 5, Sole Survivor of Yemenia Airways Crash |

Paris, FR: A plane crash early this morning of a Yeminia Airways flight from the Yemeni capital of Sana to Moroni, situated on the main island of Grand Comore, may have claimed as many as 152 lives. According to a report this morning in the New York Times of the 142 passengers and 11 crewmembers, the only known survivor is a five-year-old boy. He was taken to hospital and his condition is unknown.

| Chantix is a "Loaded Gun" |

Lansing, MI: "I went to the doctor for a chest cold and I told him I wanted to quit smoking, obviously cigarettes were making me worse," says Diane (not her real name). "He said I could not get a prescription for Chantix because I suffer from bi-polar disease. He didn't have to tell me that because his father (also a doctor) put me on Chantix last year and I almost committed suicide".

| JBS Swift Beef Recall Expanded Over E. coli Concerns |

Greeley, CO: It might have been Sunday, but a weekend never appears to deter the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) from pulling the trigger on the recall revolver—especially when it comes to bad beef. And a recall announced last week of beef potentially contaminated with E. coli was expanded yesterday to about ten times the size of the initial E. coli beef recall--yet another possible outbreak of foodborne illness.

| Levaquin Patient: "I Feel Like I'm Dying" |

Silsbee, TX: Alice N. says she was given the Levaquin antibiotic two separate times in a few months. Although she is not certain, she believes she has suffered from Levaquin side effects, which include tendonitis. Alice says that since she took the Levaquin medicine for the second time, she has had difficulty walking because of the pain in her legs.

| California Labor Law: Recourse for At-Will Termination? |

San Bernadino, CA: Jill is one of countless people who has been terminated without cause, and some employers take advantage of the California Labor Law. The state of California labor code presumes that employees are "at will", which means that employees working under an employment contract can only be terminated for reasons in their contract.
